she is so very pretty, I love the contrast of her soft facial features with her rather extreme hairdo, and those shoes, I want a pair, very nice doll Elaine, I want to see her dressed. Kathie
This is one of the more pretty dolls I have ever seen, the way you paint her eyes is something unique, very much from your own magic. Congratulations for this one.
I think her hair is a little funny, but frames her face quite nicely. Did you apply a layer of clear gloss to the doll? Looking forward to seeing her dress.
Lizzie, I used several layers of matte varnish. And YES, her hair is bizarre! Here's an interesting link showing how to create these strange high hairstyles on a human: http://labricoleuse.livejournal.com/116796.html I think it's so interesting that dolls are used as historical reference for period costume design.
Hi Elaine! Wow - your dolls are so beautiful! I love the Apollo Knot. :) Can you imagine getting your hair up like that? Her shoes are so delicate and pretty. Lovely work! Pam
