Hitty with a Hitty

Dolls need their own dolls.

Hitty loves her wooden carved doll, made in her likeness.

Here, she sings her doll a lullaby.

She can stand and hold her doll.

Hitty also has an old bear for a friend.  This Hitty girl is a little over 6 inches.  She is made from cloth and has a wire armature inside of her body so that she can be posed.  Her hands and feet are carved from basswood.  Her head is sculpted from paper clay and covered with a layer of cotton stockinette, then painted.  Her little doll is about 4 inches tall.  She is jointed at the arms and legs with tiny dowels.

Aurora

Aurora has glass eyes and a sculpted head.
She is 28 inches tall.
She is painted in acrylics.
She is wearing an antique dress and antique baby boots.

Aurora likes sitting in her settle.
Here's my entire gang of larger dolls.
