I have been wanting to try antiquing for a long while, and your beautiful dolls have inspired me to have a go. Are you going to age the fabrics also? I had great fun this year soaking both the fabric for the doll body and clothes in a bath of tea to make them look old.
Thanks for noticing my dolls, everyone! Lizzie - You should try it! It's very rewarding. Just don't do it on a doll that you're very attached to because it might not turn out exactly as you planned. I haven't done much fabric aging yet. I need to give that a try too! So much to learn!
Totally lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour dolls are magic!
ReplyDeleteWONDEFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're good teachers! :~)
ReplyDeleteThe weather must be just right for crackling because it looks perfect...pretty dolls, too!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful. It's too humid here in Maine right now to crackle. :-) I don't crackle much these-a days.

Elaine, I love the look of the crackle and the juxtaposition of the dolls fine delicate features. I'll follow to see their dresses! Super work!
