Tace in her indigo dress

I just discovered the name Tace.  It means silent.  I really missed the boat when I named my daughter thirteen years ago.

Tace poses with roses.

Tace, gazing into her future...quietly.  She doesn't feel the need to share every little thought - not that I mind listening to every single thought that flits across the mind of a thirteen-year-old girl.

Tace tiptoes daintily across the floor.  She is made with Dixie Redmond's Izannah Walker pattern.  I love this pattern!  I have been sculpting paper clay boots for the past year, but I just rediscovered the cute little feet that are drawn on the pattern.  They are a very sweet shape.  Tace likes her plain little painted, cloth boots.

Silent Tace

The dress fabric is an 1800's reproduction indigo print.  I love how the threads were dyed before they were woven.  That's why the back of the fabric is blue.
