Day #1 of Doll Class

Today was the first day of the doll making class.  There were nine excited girls there, ready to sew rag dolls.  It was great!  The kids were so eager and interested.  The only unexpected event was when Bea and Sydney (both age 7), decided to color with markers all over their dolls' faces.  Of course, they didn't like the results.  Fortunately, we managed to switch the wigs and button eyes to the other side of the head and all was well.

  1. Oh, I love it. Sounds like it was great fun. The little chair the doll is sitting in is beautiful, where did you get it?

  2. Lizzie,

I think the class went well. The main issue is that I had forgotten what age 7 was like. And that's only 6 years ago! My kids are 13 and my memories are all such a blur. The chair came from a doll show in my area. I LOVE that chair! Thanks for noticing!

  3. Elaine, that is so neat, about Bea and Sydney - what a wonderful life lesson that you have given them, that you can fix things after messing up. I bet they are all having a blast.
