My two china heads - a good friend sent the heads to me. They were in need of some love and attention. Both have broken breastplates, but as you can see, their hearts are full! |
Nobody has to know that they aren't perfect under their clothes. Aren't we all flawed? |
They are beautiful. Do you know anything about them? I believe because of the hairstyle they are known as flat top or better still "Civil War". Usually these heads were not marked by the manufacturer, but they are from around 1850 or 60... Could be Kister or Kestner.

Utterly divine Elaine. I think I saw the photo of one of the broken heads. What a wonderful job you have done.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly did right by them both Elaine, wonderful eye candy! ♥Judi
ReplyDeleteThese doll heads are just glorious! What treasures you have :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful, you did a wonderful job on them, I think sometimes we love things and or people better because of their flaws.
