Doll Making Process

A friend asked me about the doll making process, so I decided to post some photos of my current doll.  First, I sew a head and torso unit and stuff that.  Then I sculpt a basic head over the fabric, using paper clay.  Then comes lots of sanding, refining, adding and subtracting of paper clay until I'm satisfied or until I'm sick and tired of looking at it.  Sometimes I glue a layer of fabric to the head, to give it a cloth texture.  Sometimes I don't.
