I was inspired to make this small oil painting (6X8) by an old tintype of a little girl.

I painted this primitive scene in acrylics for my aunt.  She requested a primitive scene with her grandchildren in it.  It was a labor of love.

Clover and Judith

Here are Clover and Judith, two little pin cushion friends.  They are made from wood, paper clay, oil paints and glass beads for eyes.  They are 5.5 inches tall.

Carolina

I carved Carolina's head from a piece of basswood.  Here she was, when she was taking shape.

Her eyes are black glass beads.  Her hair is mohair.

She is painted in oils.
