Here's my latest Queen Anne. |
|
The Queen Annes decided to have a party. I fell in love with Queen Annes this year. I had always been attracted to their odd little faces. I really enjoy working with the wooly hair and little beady black eyes and funny, sharp faces. I really want a sheep. A REAL sheep. My rat terrier, Gypsy, tells me that it's a very bad idea. |

Here are some of my latest Izannah inspired dolls. I don't know how I can possibly still be so obsessed with one type of doll. My obsession is almost 2 years old. There's something magical about Izannahs. |
|
Here are some of my hybrid dollies. They are all inspired by older dolls. I love all old dolls. |

Here are my doll goals for 2011:
1. Find an original, antique Izannah Walker doll at the local thrift shop and purchase her for $5.
2. Make dolls.
3. MAYBE...sell a doll. There are plenty to spare around here at the McNally house, according to my family.
4. Teach a doll making class in my kids' homeschool co-op. I'm excited about this one! I hope that the kids (a small group of 7-9 year old girls) have fun. My daughter, 13, is going to be the helper. She's already a fantastic doll maker. It should be an interesting experience...maybe a little scary...
